Asbestos removal & demolition of this 368,000 SF power generating facility in Macon, GA. Work included the explosive demolition of a 600 ft smokestack, the largest smokestack on the East Coast, and recycling of 8,000 tons of steel removed from the structure.
DHG also simultaneously abated and demolished the 300,000 square foot Atkinson Power Plant in Smyrna, GA for the Southern Companies. DHG removed & recycled approximately 6,500 tons of steel from this facility. DARI was subcontracted by DHGW to perform environmental abatement at this facility.
