Vines Center Dome at Liberty University

Vines-Roof-lu-mkt.jpgDHGW and DHG Contracting are teaming up to remove the 200’ diameter geodesic dome on the Vines Center at Liberty University. The old dome was installed in 1991 and has outlived its life of 25 years. Liberty will be replacing the dome with new steel structure this summer. Work began in April with completion set for mid-June. The exterior aluminum skin will be removed from the outside by rappelling and the structural aluminum will be taken apart manually in man lifts from the interior.

PROJECT SUMMARY:

  • 200 feet diameter aluminum structure
  • DHG Contracting will team up with DHGW to perform the work.
